Each hotel’s experience will be curated by their lifestyle concierge – The Navigator.

Renaissance’s Global Day of Discovery also marks the official launch of Evenings at Renaissance, where guests and locals are encouraged to take time for #5to9.Evenings at Renaissance kicks off with a signature Bar Ritual centered on local craft beverages, curated by the hotel bartender and local beverage experts. The Bar Ritual is the signal that the 9 to 5 working day is over and it is time to transition into an incredible evening of discovery.

This year, Renaissance Hotels will be using Periscope, the live video streaming app owned by Twitter, to showcase the incredible evenings at Renaissance Hotels across the globe.Guests and fans can tune in to the @RenHotels feed all day to see highlights of Global Day of Discovery evenings. Renaissance Hotels will also share streams from local influencers as they experience Global Day of Discovery first-hand, in locations such as Bangkok, Barcelona, London, Paris, Chicago, Santiago, Cairo, San Juan, Jonor Bharu (India), Toronto, New York, Indian Wells, and Denver. Renaissance is the first brand to utilize the revolutionary technology to connect guests and locals from all over the world.

Some event highlights taking place around the world on June 11 are detailed below:

  • Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel will host The Happiest Hour Block Party featuring Robin Thicke, Natalie La Rose, and Chicago’s own DJ HXLT.   • Renaissance New York Times Square Hotel is partnering with Tony-nominated Broadway musical “Something Rotten!” starring Brian d’Arcy James and Christian Borle (of “SMASH” fame) to stage a mini-flash mob in front of the hotel, where they’ll perform the show’s opening number, “Welcome to the Renaissance”. The show is a humorous take on the creation of “the first musical”, in the time of Shakespeare, the 1590s.
  • St Pancras Renaissance London Hotel is partnering with Sofar Sounds to showcase the finest, freshest, and most cutting edge talent currently making waves on the British music scene. Taking place in the hotel’s exclusive Royal Suite, the evening will feature music from the remarkable Andreya Triana as well as an exciting and interactive drinks offering.
  • Renaissance São Paulo Hotel will offer an adventurous epicurean experience in partnership with Fechado Para Jantar and GQ Magazine, combining food, art, and a surprising discovery in unusual and hidden places.
  • Renaissance Bangkok Ratchaprasong Hotel will host a Night Market Pop-Up with a party featuring street food stalls and market-to-table pop-up kitchens. Mobile bars serving craft beers and signature cocktails will serve up liquid nourishment courtesy of celebrity Mixologist, Pernod Ricard. Bangkok’s hottest band Two Popetron will perform, along with other musicians and DJs.
  • Renaissance Cairo Mirage City Hotel, in partnership with the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cairo, will display an art exhibition showcasing young, emerging Egyptian artists. Popular local band Wust Al Balad will perform, and the hotel’s pool will surprise guests with Flyboard entertainment in water.
