GUESTS DISCOVER STATE-OF-THE-ART TECHNOLOGY AT THE WALDORF ASTORIA BEVERLY HILLS

From the Most Tech-Savvy Visitors to the Traditionally Old-School Guests, Everyone Finds Easy-to-Use Technology at Their Fingertips When Staying at the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. – October 3, 2017 – When the luxurious Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills opened its doors in June 2017, it was obvious that something special had arrived at the corner of Wilshire and Santa Monica boulevards. The hotel's beautiful design – both the striking exterior created by Gensler, PYR and Perkins + Will and the breathtaking interiors by renowned interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon – is immediately apparent. With its evocation of Old Hollywood glamour, the hotel sweeps visitors into a dazzling world of elegant comfort.

In those Art Deco-influenced public spaces and also in the 119 deluxe rooms and 51 suites, there lies a distinctly 21st century amenity that is a bit less obvious. For the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills' designers carefully crafted a seamless, unparalleled and state-of-the-art technological experience into the bones of the hotel, created for easy use by every guest, be they the most tech-savvy millennial or of a more old-school sensibility.

From the bespoke Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills App – which allows for digital check-in and check-out, offers a mobile room key on the guest's cellphone, room selection and customization and much more – to the in-room iPad loaded with simple-to-use Crestron software that controls every aspect of the room's functionality (from lighting and draperies to television remote control and guest services), every need is quickly met with the touch of a button or a simple swipe.

Complimentary in-room fiber optic Wi-Fi offers unparalleled bandwidths in every room, suite and villa, while Bluetooth audio connections allow guests to connect their own music to the speakers built in throughout the living space (and even in the bathroom). In the Presidential and Governors' suites and the Villas, visitors will also find ceiling and patio speakers, as well as Crestron-powered software that allows both video and audio to be shown and heard throughout.

Every guest will find cutting-edge, 4K televisions loaded with 85 high-definition channels as well as streaming media including HBO Go, Showtime and YouTube. Each television is also capable of receiving Apple Airplay and Android Miracast, allowing guests to cast personal content directly from their own devices to the television.

"We've included every technological amenity that the modern traveler expects when away from home," explains General Manger Luc Delafosse, "right down to HDMI/USB receptacles and electrical outlets in easy-to-locate areas throughout the room. And we've made sure that our state-of-the-art system is so simple to use, even the most techno-phobic guest will easily understand and master the systems in place in all our rooms."
