Kick off the summer with music and entertainment at Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills! On Thursday, June 21 at 6 PM, Riviera 31 Lounge and Bar welcomes you to the annual celebration of “Fete de La Musique,” a French tradition! Since 1982, France has celebrated the 1st day of Summer with concerts and musical performances of all kinds and styles happening in the streets of France. Now, the celebration has spread worldwide, encouraging all countries to celebrate music and its cultural importance. This year, Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills is partnering with the Harmony Project – a multi-awarded charity providing music classes to children in families in need – and their amazing band, the Advanced Funk Orchestra, for a night of Funk and Jazz. The Advanced Funk Orchestra is comprised of talented children ages twelve through sixteen who play a variety of instruments including: flute, clarinet, tenor saxophone, trumpet, electric bass, guitar, drums, and piano/keyboard. This year marks their first year as an ensemble, and they recently performed at the Leimart Park Jazz Festival.
And because a night of great entrainment could not happen without him, the incredible Ryan Cross and his band will close the celebration with a medley inspired by their famous Jazz Eclectic nights, happening every Monday at Riviera 31! Get ready to sing and dance! There is a $5 cover at the door, which will be given back to the Harmony Project Charity.
